FAITH IS THE OIL THAT TAKES THE FRICTION OUT OF LIFE

FAITH IS THE OIL THAT TAKES THE FRICTION OUT OF LIFE
Having faith sounds simple but often times don’t come quite as easy as it seems. When life has sent you twirling and flips you upside down, you may find it very difficult to believe that such a word could even exist. We’re taught “when all else fails, keep the faith.” It’s easy to have faith when things are going well for us, but how do we keep the faith when life has been swept completely away as we’ve known it? Where do we begin to pick ourselves up and start again when we lack that much needed faith? After all, we’ve worked long and hard for all that life has just swept away. We even managed to reach a substantial amount of success in spite of those who expressed their constant disbelief in us and what we were doing. During that time the nonsupport of others actually fed your spirit into over-drive and insistence until you made something happen for you. But once fallen, we hardly see these downers as food because we feel as though we’ve failed or they were right.
Start thinking about your goals and dreams, expand on them. Most people fail in life not because they aim too high and miss, but because they aim too low and hit. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing, and hearing from different sources and strategies. Think again about your goals and dreams; raise the bar of your dreams a little bit higher as you envision all the possibilities of making it so. Get a running start and jump into your destiny. Repeat this until you have reached your acquired goal. Believe and know that you have something of value to share.  Stop talking yourself out of doing what you were called to do simply because no one else can seem to see what God has shown you. Begin listening more to those that lifts you. Do this until you are producing results. Once you start “don’t stop.” Once you stop, the negative thoughts will begin coming back. Feed your mind and your faith continuously, for if you feed your mind, your doubts will begin starving to death. After every knock-down, get back up. Eventually you will fail your way to success. If you really want to win, "you have to believe in yourself." Do you need lubricating? Try on a little faith oil. Continue calling on your faith even through your failing. Failure will then turn into Success!

Be Expressive; Be Liberated

We are liberated when we can express what we feel to another

Be Expressive; Be Liberated

Learn the language of others that you may speak with acceptance. My need to communicate causes such a burning desire deep down into my spirit. Some say I just love talking, I say we all do; we’re just not all comfortable doing so. Think of the many conversations taking place inside of our minds daily. There’s so much we would love to share with many if not all, if only we knew how to be more expressive. I realized I’d become accustomed to having conversations with myself mostly because I spoke a different language from those in my surroundings. Not to say their language or mine was foreign, only to say it was different. Every way I turned, I was left thinking that I was the odd one all alone in my thoughts and speech. Then I came to realize I had a very active mind. My mom would tell me, “You can’t share everything with everyone.” I believe I would have been okay with that if only I could find that someone to share my thoughts with. Mother always made herself available to hear whatever I had to say; and she was very receptive to my conversations. What mother didn’t know is that she was my only audience. I’d totally stopped having conversations with others as myself, but always making sure to study them well enough to speak their language. I’ve now rediscovered my love for writing but no longer quite remember the language for that either. I love sharing my thoughts, views and opinions and will continue using blogging to do so while I learn the language of writing. I will be sharing what and who I am in my blogging. I hope you will find liberation in my sharing on all things that makes me Me. Silence is never good. Don’t be afraid to be expressive or fearful of being yourself. If ever you have something to say, “Say it loud and with confidence,” It’s okay if you’re speaking a different language. We’re a diverse people, others will understand and someone will translate!

Making Fall Autumn Again

Making Fall Autumn Again
I would love to take away the word fall with association to the season Autumn. I understand that during this season the leaves begin falling off of trees, but it seems to take away from the beauty and spirit that comes before our trees become barren. I love to see our trees when they begin turning so many beautiful colors; the reds, gold, orange and even burgundy! This then brings about a sense of new birth within the spirit, a baby in the womb awaiting their debut into the world. The spirit of baking breads, quiche and pies, preparing soups and salads and consuming all sorts of teas and coffee drinks. The thought of it all makes me want to curl up with a good book and that special someone in my life and just indulge.

TRAVEL

Taking time for fun travel can decrease your stress level, therefore expanding your life's journey. My kids, their father and myself would often take little trips away from our busy city life in Atlanta every year, around  early to mid spring, even if just for four days to a week. And we would often sneak a weekend in there from time to time throughout the year. We would visit Tennessee often. Whether it would be a trip to the Aquarium, Dolly world, Ruby Falls etc... we enjoyed them all immensely, but the astounding views of life before us was just amazing. It turned out, it wasn't so much the activities that we participated in, but the family time spent and the journey there and back!
